Champion Wine!

CABERNET IS KING!

Our 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon was the highest scoring wine of this years Langhorne Creek Wine Show, picking up the Champion Wine of Show along with the Best Cabernet trophy.

We've been fortunate to be awarded the Champion Wine Trophy for four consecutive years and this is the sixth occasion our Cabernet Sauvignon has won.

We picked up six trophies in total, as listed below.

Champion Wine of Show   |  2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

Best Sparkling Wine, White Wine or Rosé  |  Lake Breeze Wines

Best Blended Red Wine  |  2019 Arthur’s Reserve

Best Cabernet Sauvignon  |   2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

Best Shiraz  |  2020 Bull Ant Shiraz

Best Museum or Fortified Wine  |  2013 Arthur’s Reserve

Our 2019 Cabernet is our current release and is available to taste at cellar door.  The much-anticipated 2019 Arthur's Reserve will be released mid-June.

There were 190 entries from 28 exhibiting wineries, this shows the depth of our region. Chair of Judges Charlie Seppelt said “This year’s Langhorne Creek Wine Show really was something to behold. Across all classes were wines made with care, detailed thought, and restraint. Rosé and white classes lifted the bar considerably with fresh exuberance and style. Alternate red varieties continue to be a growing and glowing set of wines to judge with lovely pure wines of high drinkability. The classic varieties for the region of Shiraz, Malbec and Cabernet were once again the strength of the show with all proving their class and stature for the region."

We again hosted the Wine Show Luncheon in our stunning Barrel Room, so didn't have far to stumble home after Friday's celebrations!
