"Langhorne Creek is a must visit for any winelover. All a little bit different and a step back in time in many ways. And yet, the style of wines is fresh and up to the minute modern. This Rosato/Rosé is a perfect example. Made from old vine Grenache – planted in 1932 – hand harvested, crushed but immediately pressed to keep any colour pick-up to a minimum, after which it is cool fermented. Matured on lees for three months, in order to improve the texture too.
A lovely pale pink salmon colour with a hint of sunset. Soft and gentle in all aspects, the nose gives forth a touch of red fruits, cherries, with tobacco leaves and juicy berry notes. This is fresh and balanced and lingers delightfully. It is an ideal style for chilling and drinking over summer. Good acidity carries the wine and it maintains the impression of elegance throughout."
