The Creek’s cabernet has long been regarded as one of the region’s natural gifts, and here you see it in all its glory: pure cassis/black currant crush that has such wonderful fruit concentration that the oak and other herbal elements usually expected in such a wine find their best role as a supportive backdrop. The drive and reverb in the palate is excellent, with a slightly dusty/cedar/pencil case note in the finish adding further integrity and length. A delightful wine.
